This is the story of the end of a project. We were about to release the last DLC before we moved on to the next game. Everything was ready to go, except for one, single, game breaking bug that would cause us to fail compliance testing.

Vampire Survivors: Venture Adventure
Just when I thought I was getting near to finishing Vampire Survivors, they go and add something new. Late last year a new patch was released with an entirely new game mode. Now you can go on unique adventures within the game.
Data Driving the Butterflies
Finally! Butterfly data can now be loaded or modified via a JSON file. Now if we decide to change how butterflies work we don’t need to change any code. Even a data pack could be used to change butterfly behaviour.
Conversation with a New Friend
It finally happened. Someone tried to scam me on Steam. I guess I don’t play online games enough for me to be exposed to these scammers usually, but it was bound to happen eventually. Thankfully I was lucky enough to spot what was happening before any damage was done.
Escape From the Nashkel Mines
After finding and defeating Mulahey, the half-orc behind the poisoning of the Nashel Mines, the Troupe now makes their way out of the mines. Hoping to find another way out, they make their way through the kobold tunnels that were used to infiltrate the mines.
How A False Positive Can Crash Games
As a developer, the one thing you want people to do is to be able to play your game when you launch it. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible for many players after the launch of one title I worked on.
Mini Settlers: Simply Complex
I did a bad thing. I stifled my attempt to play my entire Steam library by adding a new game. But I couldn’t resist playing this free demo for what looks like will be an extremely fun game when it gets released. Simple to play, but hard to win.
Small Eggs and Better Buckeyes
I’ve talked about how details matter before. So this week I’ve focused on a couple of things that have been bugging me for a while now. These aren’t major features, but they do help to make the mod feel like it’s been crafted by someone who cares.
The Joy of Toy Collections
I’m probably the least materialistic person I know. I hate having stuff. I’m always trying to get rid of everything I own. Not in a “relinquish your Earthly tethers” kind of way, I’m just not someone who likes to be burdened with things.
Beneath the Nashkel Mines
The Troupe has descended into the Nashkel Mines and discovered that kobolds have been poisoning the ore. Beneath the mines they met a sentient ooze wanting to stop the poisons harming its kin. Together, they enter the tunnels built by the kobolds under the iron mine.
