We have job blocks. We have villagers. What we don’t have is a home for these new villagers to live. This week I’ve added new buildings that will spawn in villages, which allows lepidopterists to spawn naturally as well.
Creating the Buildings
I wanted to add buildings to support the new profession.
“Never Again” were the words spoken after the Second World War ended alongside the Holocaust. But it did happen again. And again. And it’s still happening now. In Cambodia I’ve been visiting the Killing Fields and Holocaust Museums and one phrase stuck with me. Doing nothing is not an option.
Rose and the Troupe start exploring the Amnian border to see what they can find. After some chance encounters in the Fire Leaf Forest, the Troupe continue westward toward the Sword Coast. Towards a village Aegon visited once before. A village full of small blue humanoids.
I had to do at least one hike in Koh Tao. We decide to pick a route that would take us to the top of the island.
When I first moved to China I was working for 2K Games China. The project was to be Borderlands Online, but it was unfortunately cancelled before release. Despite this, I never got around to playing Borderlands 2. I played the first game, but never the second.
Last week I added the Butterfly Breeder. This week I used the new block as a job block to create a new villager: the Lepidopterist. This villager will give access to trades around butterflies, giving players a new method of finding new species.
I’ve always had an interesting relationship with flowers. It’s not to say I don’t like them, but I’ve always had difficulty grasping a lot of the customs and rituals around flowers. Why do people buy them and place them in vases only so they can die.
Back in Nashkel once again, Verr’Sza and the others, even Gorion’s old friends are starting to look up to him as a leader. After clearing out the mines and defeating the leaders of the bandit camp, the Troupe needs to decide their next move.
Sometimes we assume that parts of our childhood are universal, that everyone has experienced. It’s easy to forget that things that seem so normal to you aren’t normal to you. To not realise that some parts of your childhood have not been experienced by others around the world.
The Banner Saga is part tactical combat game, part interactive story. It’s a game that absorbs you into an entirely new fantasy world. It’s a story of heroes, but also one of survival, as you also will need to maintain your supplies and the people that follow you.
