The final series of Discovery is airing right now. I’ve always had an issue with the storytelling in certain nuTrek series. I’ve talked a lot about this with Picard, but Discovery, while a better series, has had the same mystery box since the beginning.

Helping Pelltar the Wizard
After infiltrating the Bandit Camp, the troupe was ready to fight the leaders were it not for Aegon’s visions. They decided to retreat for the time being, hoping to catch Tazok when they return. On their way back Drake was killed during an ambush of ogre bandits.
Take the Drugs, Get Back to Work
I recently had a breakdown and ended up going to therapy. It was a strange experience, one that left me wondering if it was really trying to help, or had an ulterior motive.
Travelling. Gaming. Drinking.
I haven’t had much chance to play new games recently. I recently got made redundant, and as a result I’ve decided to spend some time travelling the world. The adventure finally starts this week, but I don’t want to forget about gaming and game development.
Upgrading Butterflies to NeoForge
Changes are on the horizon for the Minecraft Modding community. While I don’t fully understand all the drama, Forge may be on its way out, making NeoForge the new way of making mods. In order to prepare for this new world, I’ve decided to create a 1.20.
It’s Not Intelligent, It’s an LLM
With all the controversy around AI, there’s one thing that people don’t seem to be talking about. And when they do, they talk about it the wrong way. There is a problem with AI we seem to have missed, and it isn’t with the AI itself.
Improving Quality of Life
This week I add a lot of quality of life improvements to the mod, as well as a bug fix. There aren’t really any major new features, but the mod is now a little easier to use, and is now compatible with mods that add custom biomes to Minecraft.
Tragedy of the Drunken Priest
Aegon and company successfully infiltrated the bandit camp. They have been given the responsibility of standing guard over Tazok’s tent. It’s almost time to take out the bandit leaders for good, but things aren’t going to be so easy, if they’re even possible at all.
Dublin: St. Patrick’s Parade
Some pictures from the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin. This is my first time doing St. Paddy’s in the country. There was a huge variety of marching bands, public services, athletes, and even Mr. Tayto Man out to represent.
Galak-Z: Confusing Design
Sometimes it’s possible to implement everything perfectly, yet still end up with a product that doesn’t quite work. Galak-Z is a game that seems to be trying something new. And, while all the individual components that make up the game work, they don’t quite fit together.
