This week I worked on a lot of small tasks. Some new features, a bugfix or two, some minor tweaks, and butterfly sherds. It’s nice to work on small things sometimes. It feels like you’ve achieved a lot more than usual.
Bok McDonagh
Recycled Material Pickers
In Phnom Penh there is a bar known as the Meta House. It’s a good place to get some imported beers, as well as some decent German food. It’s also a German/Cambodian cultural center that runs film nights almost every day, and it’s free to attend.
Ogres, Ogres, Everywhere!
As a storm rages across the skies, Aegon and the Troupe continue their journey along the border. They have learned that the Bear River lives up to its name, and that bandits are still in the area. The continue on their journey toward the coast.
Learning Cabaret is a Life
While wandering Koh Tao we were handed a flyer for the Queen’s Cabaret. This is the local drag queen show. We were interested, but were unsure if it would be worth seeing.
It’s a Small World Indeed
Another board game adaptation, Small World is a fun, short game that can be played in about 30 minutes. It’s a very simple game, but it has depth to it that makes it difficult to master.
Housing the Lepidopterist
We have job blocks. We have villagers. What we don’t have is a home for these new villagers to live. This week I’ve added new buildings that will spawn in villages. And with a new home, lepidopterists can spawn naturally as well.
Inaction is a Weapon of Mass Destruction
“Never Again” were the words spoken after the Second World War ended alongside the Holocaust. But it did happen again. And again. And it’s still happening now. In Cambodia I’ve been visiting the Killing Fields and Holocaust Museums and one phrase stuck with me. Doing nothing is not an option.
Travelling In Bear Country
Rose and the Troupe start exploring the Amnian border to see what they can find. After some chance encounters in the Fire Leaf Forest, the Troupe continue westward toward the Sword Coast. Towards a village Aegon visited once before. A village full of small blue humanoids.
Hiking to the Top of Koh Tao
I had to do at least one hike in Koh Tao. We decide to pick a route that would take us to the top of the island.
Finally Playing Borderlands 2
When I first moved to China I was working for 2K Games China. The project was to be Borderlands Online, but it was unfortunately cancelled before release. Despite this, I never got around to playing Borderlands 2. I played the first game, but never the second.
