I’m taking a break from development this week as I am focused on other things. So instead I decided to recommend some mods I enjoy using in my personal mod pack.
Minecraft Mods
Mods made by other people that I like.
Better Looking Minecraft Avatars
There are a few mods I use to make Steve (or whatever you call your Minecraft character) look better. As with other mods I’ve reviewed, these are simple, client-side mods that add extra touches to the game without changing anything about the gameplay.
Just Let Sleeping Dogs Lie
Are Minecraft wolves truly wolves or wild dogs? There is a simple mod that will provide a hint on how to answer that question. And it may also make you care about your dogs just a little bit more.
Minecraft Mods About Cats
I’m still in China and unable to continue work on my mod, so I’m going to talk about some mods I like involving cats instead. These are two very simple mods that don’t change too much. They’ll fit right in to any vanilla-style modpack.
The Many Wonderful Mobs of Alex
A seagull has nested close to my farm. Every time I leave my base that bastard swoops down and steals more of my bread. I’m done with this. I know how to craft a decent bow. Roast seagull is on the menu tonight.
The Structures of Adorabuild
I decide to explore beyond the village to try and get a lay of the land. I come across a small farmhouse in the middle of the plains. It’s unoccupied, the cows and a horse left to fend for themselves. Maybe I could make this a home.
