I’m still in China and unable to continue work on my mod, so I’m going to talk about some mods I like involving cats instead. These are two very simple mods that don’t change too much. They’ll fit right in to any vanilla-style modpack.

Cats may be the butterfly’s natural enemy, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like them. These two mods improve cats just a little, while changing very little, if anything at all, about the gameplay.

Cat Loaf is a mod by khajiitos that adds an alternate sitting pose to cats. 50% of the time you command a cat to sit, it will instead sit in the loafing position. If you love cats as much as I do, you will know how often they love to sit like this.

The other mod is cat_jam by shmove, which makes cats bob their heads to music. There are other mods that do this, but this is the only one I can find for 1.20.2. The cats will dance with different routines depending on the song, and the best thing about this mod is that it is client-side only – so you don’t need to worry about a server having it installed if you play Minecraft online.

These are two simple mods that improve cats in small ways. With no real gameplay changes they are a must-include in any vanilla-style modpack.
